Multicultural Leadership Academy
The Latino Policy Forum’s Multicultural Leadership Academy furthers its mission to bridge Latinos and African Americans by encouraging intercultural collaboration and social action, providing experiences to increase cross-cultural understanding, and developing a network of leaders who will be able to call upon each other in the future.
Healing Every Youth was established as an Affinity group during the Multicultural Leadership Academy (MLA) 2017-18 cohort. MLA Affinity groups are a way to translate learning into action—in a way that also creates significant new learning. Each group within the cohort designs and implements a project that addresses a specific, concrete social, community, or public policy issue that impacts Latino and African American communities.
