The Silver Room houses tasteful collections of eclectic jewelry, fashion, art and music. Founded in 1997 by owner Eric Williams, The Silver Room embodies what Hyde Park has best to offer by pushing the boundaries of traditional retail operation and consistently focusing on building community through social exchange.

The Silver Room’s Sound System Block Party featured three stages and more than 50 live performers specializing in music and visual arts, the block party attracted over 5,000 people in the intersection of Milwaukee and Evergreen avenues of Chicago’s neighborhood of Wicker Park. The project’s objective was to document the day’s events and festive atmosphere. Portraits of attendees and of the live performers were taken as the focus for this project.

Services provided by Culture Saving include event and commercial photography and graphic design.
